Body Found in Field in Jackson Ohio

The Jackson Police have found a body in a field in Jackson, OH. According to Police, the body was found around 10 AM near Acy Avenue, and they believe the body has been there for a while.  Police also say they believe the body to be a male. The Jackson Police Department and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office are on the scene. We will continue to update this the story as we get more information.

Secret Service Officers Shoot Male Suspect Near White House Security Checkpoint

According to a report from CNN, Secret Service officers have shot a male suspect near a security checkpoint near the White House after he apparently brandished a weapon, a law enforcement said. The CNN report says the suspect was shot in the abdomen and taken into custody. President Barack Obama was not at the White House at the time of the incident. CNN says Vice President Joe Biden was secured in the White House complex during the incident.

An Ashland, KY man has been arrested for kidnapping in Boyd County, Kentucky. Wallace Daniel Spence, 56 of Ashland, KY, was arrested on May 19, 2016.

A Lincoln County man was sentenced to 11 years and seven months in federal prison for trafficking pain pills, this ruling was announced by Acting United State Attorney Carol Casto. According to a press release 46-year-old William Harrison Meade previously pleaded guilty in September of 2015 to conspiring to distribute oxycodone. Former Delbarton Police Officer Pleaded Guilty To Sexual Assault Charge

Former Delbarton Police Officer Jonathan New pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a third degree sexual assault charge. Court documents show between "November 2015 and December 2015 New unlawfully, knowingly, intentionally and feloniously engaged in sexual intercourse" with a minor. The Mingo County Clerk did not have a sentencing date for New at this time.

Fatal Crash in Pike County

There was a fatal crash in Pike County Monday afternoon. Sgt. Kevin Belcher says the single vehicle crash occurred in the Caney Creek Community. This is about 10-12 miles south of Pikeville. Investigators say 55-year-old Tina Branham veered off of US Route 23 and struck a tree. The crash is still under investigation.
